Caren Calabrese's experience in the art of negotiating win-win license agreements is unparalleled. Throughout her 10+ year merchandise licensing career, Caren has negotiated hundreds of agreements worth tens of millions of dollars on behalf of clients. She is adept at striking complex deals for both large and small brands, and for companies of all sizes; from Fortune 100 to small privately owned businesses.
Caren's career in brand licensing began more than 10 years ago while working in Marketing and PR for Revlon. Caren was selected to grow the portfolio of licensees for a number of brands in the Revlon family, including: Revlon, Almay, Ultima and Coleman Outdoors.
After Revlon, Caren was recruited to join one of the world's largest brand licensing agencies and work on a wide range of programs. During her five year tenure, she grew the portfolio of licensees for such major brands as: The Stanley Works, Mary-Kate and Ashley, USTA, Faberge, Susie Coehlo, Subway, What To Expect, Anne McKevitt, The Greenwich Workshop, Columbia, and The Andy Warhol Foundation.
Throughout her career, Caren has negotiated merchandise license agreements in a wide variety of product categories, including: apparel and accessories, tools and building materials, food, retail programs, housewares, home goods, furniture, health products, HBA, novelties and collectibles, and many others. Her experience also includes building licensing programs from the ground up, as in the case of Stanley Tools, which Caren grew from one to more than 25 licensees, as well as growing programs with an existing portfolio of licensees. Caren is skilled at working with all types of clients from those looking to strike a small number of key license agreements worth millions, to those whose objectives are to greatly expand its portfolio of licensees.
